I chuckled softly. "I'm not sure about that, but I'll see you later." I said. I left and went back to Coles house, where I did more job hunting. Early in the morning, I got up for physical therapy and did that for a couple hours, making me exhausted. I walked straight to Rowan's. I knocked on the door and waited.

"It's open!" I called knowing it was Lucas. I had Iris in my arms trying to get her to stop crying. She had a clean diaper and had been fed but she was still upset and I didn't know why. On top of that I was trying to talk to someone that worked with the charity on the phone and it was began ing to be a struggle.

I walked in and saw her stressed. Gently, I took Iris from her and sat down. I bounced her for a moment but that just made her scream more. I told myself not to worry and took a deep breath. Finally I made a funny face at her and she quieted. I made it again and she giggled. I smiled softly.

I smiled softly and mouthed thank you. I was able to finish my phone call then hung up. I let out a breath. "Thank you." I said. I got up. "Do you want a coffee or some breakfast?" I asked.

"No. I'm fine." I said. "But is it ok if I use your shower? I just got back from physical therapy, and I didn't want to go all the way back to Cole's." I admitted.

I nodded and hesitated. "Sure. Towels and things are in there just move the baby basin out of the way." I said. "I didn't get a chance to put it away after I gave Iris a bath this morning." I gently took Iris from him to let him take a shower.

"Thanks." I said. It took my a while to shower with my prosthetic and all, but eventually I came back out with sweats and a hoodie on. "So what does a normal day look like with Iris?" I asked, sitting down.

I nodded and leaned over, reaching into my bag. "Well I got her a present but I guess she won't really like it." I said, taking out the stuffed bunny.

I smiled. "She'll love it as soon as she's old enough." I told him, taking the bunny and rubbing it's ears. So I'm taking Iris to the park for a walk with some of the other mom's today if you want to come?" I offered.
