I packed up the diaper bag and got the stroller ready while Lucas got Iris. I decided to give him a few extra minutes with her and instead, picked up a few things around the house.

I carefully walked with Iris out. "Ok, what should I do her?" I asked, not wanting to hurt Iris.

I laughed lightly. "You can put her in the stroller. I'm just going to grab a jacket and we can go." I said going into my room to grab a jacket.

I shrugged. "When Iris was first born, I struggled a lot. I really didn't know how to handle everything. Then one day I was running an errand with Iris and I met Marsha who told me about the group and that was sort of that. It's been a big help." I said.

I nodded. "Yeah. I figured it out." I said. We walked down to the park where I found Marsha and the other women. "Hey guys. This is Lucas.. umm.... Iris's father.." I told them. They all stopped and looked at him for a minute before nodding and saying a polite hello.

Instantly I felt them all have something against me. Nervously I put a hand on Iris stroller. "Hi..." Is aid, not sure what to say.

I bit my lip. "It was really hard for me to explain to them why you had left when I couldn't say anything about your job." I told him. "So some of them may have their own ideas about the situation." I said with a shrug.

Some of the women had older kids that were playing on the playground so I cought up with Marsha to walk. "Lucas this is Marsha. She's the one that introduced me to the group. And that's her son Andy." I told him.
