I was so stunned I just nodded. Who was he? When he untied me I got up and ran but I couldn't help myself. They said boss. That might mean my father was in trouble. I knew all the hiding places in this building and I ducked into a spot where I knew I wouldn't be seen but could see the other room.

I kept a hold of the gun and slowly went to the door. I listened for a moment. "Now you should know our deal by now... Put it in and we'll be on our way." The leader said. That's when I realized her dad wasn't in charge of this, he was being forced to do it. "As long as you don't hurt Ro." Her dad said quietly. The leader sighed. "As long as she keeps quiet about what she saw." He said. Her dad nodded and shakily got up. He came out of the door first, then the leader with the gun. Insanely I shot him in the knee. He screamed and fell to the floor. "Tell me where the drugs are." I said calmly. He didn't respond so I stepped on the wound. He screamed and cried for me to stop so I did. "They're... Over there." He gasped, pointing to some furniture. I nodded and bounded his hands to make sure he wouldn't get away, then called for backup.

I gasped as I watched him then came out behind where I was hiding. "Finn? What's going on?" I asked but ran to my father and hugged him.

I wanted to respond, but I couldn't. I decided to pretend like I didn't hear and let her have the alone time with her dad. Taking off my tie, I put it around the gun wound so he wouldn't bleed out. Several minutes later, the backup came.

I held my dad and checked him for wounds but he insisted he was okay. He told me that the men on the ground had been forcing him to smuggle drugs by threatening my life. When more men came they took away the men Finn had taken down then took my dad for questioning. That's when I walked over to Finn and got in his face. "Who are you?!?" I asked, extremely confused.

I took a deep breath. I was nervous to tell her- I didn't want her to hate me. But I knew she would. "My name is Lucas Shae. I work for the FBI in covert operations and I was assigned to figure out what was going on with your dad and his company." I said softly.

"So you used me?" I whispered, the realization washing over me. "You got me to fall in love with you so you could tear my entire life apart! You lied about everything!" I yelled. I took two steps away then turned back around and slapped him with as much force as possible across the face. "My father is a good man. He got caught up in some bad stuff but it was to protect me. If any ounce of you cares about me, which I'm not sure it does, you will make sure that he is treated fairly.. He's all I have left..." And with that I spun on my heels and ran back to my place. I locked the door and fell onto my bed sobbing. My entire world had just fallen apart. My dad had gotten involved with illegal things and my boyfriend was a complete fake. I felt cheated and lied to and I was completely devastated.

Ow. I touched my face, which stung, but the words were worse. "Hayes was being forced to smuggle the drugs.. They were threatening him and his family. I saw it." I said softly. I started to head in Rowan's direction, but one of the agents grabbed my arm. "She has the right to be upset. Let her heal." He said. I guess he was right. I let out a long sigh and waited around.

I laid in the fetal position for a long time. Finally I got up deciding I wasn't going to let my crushed heart stop me from getting my father back. I wiped my tears and put my hair in a high ponytail then put on a pair of skinny jeans and a fitted top before going down to the basement. I marched in, pushing past the other men that tried to stop me. "Where's my father!" I yelled.

I blinked, surprised by it all. Gently I put my hand on her arm, but then decided that that wasn't a good idea because she looked really angry. "Don't worry, we're going to let him go." I promised. "We just need to get all the information we can out of him about who these men are and what they want." I said.

I glared at him and took a step back after he touched me. "Don't you dare try to be nice to me now after playing me like you did. You better be right about my father, because he's all I got." I got little bit softer as I talked. "My mom's already gone. I can't lose him too." I whispered.
