Lucas  I arrived at Rowan's apartment, dressed in a nice suit and tie. Usually, I wore gym clothes to work, so I definitely wasn't used to this. In one hand, I held a corsage for Rowan. I'm not sure if that's what people did for galas like this, but it seemed like a fancy thing to do so I did it. In my pockets were all kinds of different spy gear; I knew that her dad and all of his employees would be here, so it would be a perfect time for research. Finally, I knocked on Rowan's door and waited, fidgeting with the collar of my shirt. |

"I'm coming." I called when I heard the knock on my door. I hurried to the door, almost tripping over my dress. I took a second to steady myself then opened the door. "Hi." I said. I smiled at him. "You look amazing. Let my just grab my clutch and then we can go." I said going to get my clutch from the counter. |

That was a lot of people. I reached my face and felt my stubble. "I should have shaved." I said with a chuckle. I was nervous everyone would stare at me because I was with her.

"We should go say hi to my dad first." I said. I moved around the crowd effortlessly, leading Finn with me. I had been to so many of these, I had learned how to dodge people. I stopped by my father who was talking to some of his clients. One of the other men noticed me before my dad did. He was one of our youngest clients and was about my age. "Rowan you look extravagant." He said. I nodded politely. "Thank you Mr. Holt." I said then turned to my dad and greeted him. "Hi daddy. You remember Finn from the other night." He nodded and shook Finn's hand. "You're still here.." He said. I rolled my eyes. "We're going to say hello to a few people." I said. I looked back to the group he was with. "Mr. Ortiz, Mrs. Ortiz, Mr. Holt, lovely to see you all again." I said politely then headed away from them to another group of people.

She left and I stood stunned. I had to snap out of it because her dad was right there. "So what business are your parents in?" The young guy asked me. "Uhh my parents are actually farmers." I said. He seemed disgusted so I just smiled nicely and excused myself to find Rowan again.
