I nodded. "Well would it be ok with you if I go to work? Or do you want me to stay home with you?" I asked softly. I knew I should probably stay home and grieve or something, but I just wanted to distract myself and do something.

As soon as Lucas left Iris began to cry. "Shh.." I said bouncing her in my arms. "I know. Mommy's having a hard day too." I said softly, as I rocked her in my arms.
