"I'm going to take a look and see what's happened okay?" The doctor said. I nodded and gripped Lucas's hand, cringing at the doctor's touch.

The doctor finished, took off her gloves and washed her hands then came back over. "The situation is bad and I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but as far as the damage that's been done it's very minimal. Everything has been shed so no surgery or more invasion has to happen. "I'm going to give you a few things but you should heal well with minimal to no scaring." She said. i nodded then opened my mouth to ask the important question. "Will I be able to have kids again?" I asked and waited nervously. She nodded slowly. "It may be harder and you will be at a higher risk for another miscarriage, but yes you will be able to get pregnant again." She said.

I nodded. "Thank you." I said softly. The doctor filled out a prescription for Rowan, then said we were able to go. We drove mostly in silence and went up to the apartment. I had told her dad what was going on, so he only said a couple things before leaving. "Take a seat on the couch." I said softly. I went into the bedroom, avoiding looking at the blood, and brought pillows and blankets out. "You can sleep here tonight. Is that ok?" I asked softly. I put the pillow under her head and tucked her into the blankets.

I fell asleep faster than I expected. It probably had something to do with the heavy pain medication I was on but I never let go of Lucas's hand.

I never ended up falling asleep, so at 4:00 I finally got up. First I cleaned up the bed, avoiding looking at the blood stain. I just threw away the sheets and put some fresh ones on. I was inturrupted when Iris started crying; I quickly got her so Ro didn't wake up. After changing her, I quietly brought her into the kitchen for breakfast.

I woke up to the smell of coffee and in a lot of pain now that the meds had worn off. "Lucas?" I called softly, not daring to try to get up.
