Connor had been in Germany for about a week now, and I really missed him. It had been a quiet, lonely few days. My mom went back to LA a few days ago, and Alice had left this morning for a tour of Canterwood and an overnight stay with one of the students there. I thought it would be nice to have the house all to myself, but it was the opposite. I must have caught a bug or something, because I felt terrible. I had chills, and felt exhausted and couldn't eat a bite- basically all I could do is sit on the couch. But I didn't tell Connor because I didn't want him to worry- there's nothing he could do anyways. I sat down with my laptop attempting to get some work done, wondering when he would be home.

I had just landed from my flight from Germany and hailed a cab to go home. It had been a long week and hard to get used to the language, but it had been a great experience and I knew I was going to love the job. I got home and lugged my bag inside. "I'm home I called out but it was quiet. That's when I remembered that Sage's mom had gone home and Alice had gone to Connecticut. "Sage?" I called out walking around the corner.

I looked up from my laptop and smiled as he walked through the door. I decided that for now it would be best to just pretend like I was fine. "Hey. Welcome home." I said happily. "How was it? Tell me everything."

"It was really good. The language barrier was a bit of a struggle but other than that it was really good. How has everything here been?" I asked.

"It's been good." I lied. "But really quiet because everyone's gone." I said. Finally I couldn't take the acting anymore. I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

I frowned and followed her. I gently knelt down next to her and held back her hair, while rubbing her back. "Why didn't you tell me you were sick?" I asked softly.

I sighed. "When did you start feeling like this?" I asked, getting a wash cloth and soaking it in cool water.

"About 3 or 4 days ago." I admitted in a whisper. I hated him seeing me like this.

"Sage... I wish you had told me. I could have gotten done early and flown back." I said. I sat down on the bathroom floor next to her. "Come here." I said gently lifting her into my lap and patting her forehead and face with the cool cloth.
