I nodded, but knew that in between traveling and working and wedding planning, he would never have the time he thought. But might as well let him think that. "Ok. But I don't think I need help now." I said, looking back at the screen. "Don't feel like you need to stay up for me. You can go to bed if you're tired."

I smiled and typed away at my assignment. Unfortunately, I only got through about half of it before dozing off with my computer on my lap.

When I noticed she had fallen asleep, I quietly put my book down and carefully removed the laptop from her lap, setting it down on the side table. I tucked her in and kissed her head before shutting off the light and climbing into bed next to her.

I shifted and realized that my laptop was gone. Without really thinking I pulled Connor closer to me and dozed off again.
