Today we were going to do some wedding planning with Sage's mother. I wasn't particularly looking forward to it but I wanted to make Sage and her mother happy. I was honestly happy with anything but I knew Sage's mom would only go for the best. I decided it was best to just agree with her. I got out of work and went to meet them at the store.

My mom and I were looking around at all of the wedding stuff when Connor came in. I smiled. "Hey." I said happily, taking his hand. "How was work?" I asked.

I waved my hand. "It's all fine. But I was wondering if-" My mom cut me off. "Sage, pay attention. This is important." She snapped at me. I bit back a smile. "Right- sorry." I went back at looking at the different bridesmaids dresses.

I chuckled. "I don't know about that. But I want her to like her dress, so I'll send her a picture." I said. I looped my arm around his. "I'm glad youre here. I don't know if I could stand another hour with her alone." I muttered.

I laughed when she came back with a tux. "I think you need the protecting." I teased before she could hear. She held up the suit to his face. "I just wanted to see what colors look good on you. Of course you'll get a custom suit." She said.

"Midnight black." She said. I frowned and held up a different swatch. "Really? I think jet black looks better." I said. They looked exactly the same but I just liked messing with them. My mom stared at it for a second and nodded. "Good catch, dear. Now come and look at these flowers." She lead us to the back.
