I sighed. "Ok. If you say so." I said. I looked over at Iris. "She's out like a light. You need rest, too. Here, you can borrow one of my shirts. " I took one out of the dresser and tossed it to her.

I slowly took off my jeans and then took off the prosthetic, leaning it against the wall. "It just makes it a lot more real. I can't pretend." I said, sitting back on the bed.

I sat down next to him and ran my hand over his thigh and over the scar. I looked up at him and smiled. "It's really just a battle scar. You're no different because of it." I said kissing his cheek.

I slowly unbuttoned his shirt and slipped it off so I was in my underwear and bra and my scar fully exposed. "Scars are just part of the story. It's what's inside that counts." I said softly.

I kissed his cheek but accidentally hit the bruise blooming under his eye. "I'm sorry. Let me get you ice." I said. I got up and slipped his shirt back on then went to get him some ice.
