I looked her in the eyes finally standing up for myself. "I'm not going to Germany." I said firmly. "And you're not going to tell Sage." With that I left and went back to the other room.

He came back and for some reason I could just tell he was acting weird. "Let's keep on playing." I said, rolling the dice.

I rolled my eyes and gave him a playful shove before going into the kitchen. My mom met me in there. "How are things going? Did you talk to Connor about doing some wedding stuff tomorrow?" She asked. I shook my head. "He doesn't really seem in the mood. He's been acting really weird lately because he hasn't gotten any job offers." I said truthfully. My mom just muttured something. "What?" I asked. She just gave me a look and shrugged. "You should be asking him things, not me." She said before going to her room. Sure she was usually really dramatic, but that was weird. Now I was even more worried. I sighed and got us some food then went out.

I nodded and rolled the dice, not really thinking. Alice grinned and went next. "I win. Sage, you could have stopped me." She pointed out. I glanced at the board. "Oh... Yeah you're right." I said. Oblivious, she just smiled and ran up to her room. I put the game away.
