"So have you heard back from any job offers?" I asked softly. But before he could answer, the front door opened. It was my mom, with several shopping bags. "Hello dear. I got you-" She stopped when she actually looked up at my hair. I was expecting her to say something, but she just shook her head. "I'm going to go put these things in my room, then do some business in the office. Ill be back down." She said before going upstairs. I had no idea what business she would have to do. I just chuckled.

"Sorry." Alice said with a smile. We got all of our pieces ready and started playing.
Deborah (lol the name I decided for the mom)
I was in the office on the phone with my real estate agent when he told me to grab a pen to write something down. I looked in all the drawers until I finally found one in the way bottom. I took it out and as I did uncovered a letter for Connor. It was dated yesterday and said 'Congratulations' on the top. I finished my call and then picked up the letter again. I read all about his job offer. Sage didn't know about this- or she would have told me. "Connor, dear! Please come fix the computer." I yelled so he would come.

I looked at Sage before getting up. "I'll be right back." I said going into the other room. "What's wrong? It was working fine an hour ago." I said.
