I nodded. "I understand." I said. Just then, I got a phone call from my best friend, Cole. "Hey dude. So You know how my tooth has been hurting like crazy lately? Well I finally took your advice and had Leah bring me in and I need to get a root canal and we have no where to bring Penny... Will you take her for a couple hours?" He begged, going a mile a minute. Penny was his little girl. "Cole can you please go somewhere else? It's not really a good time." I said. "Luke, please. I've seriously tried everyone else and they're all busy." I sighed. "Fine." I said. "Great. I'm on my way over. I owe you one." He said before hanging up. I looked back to Rowan. "I'm so sorry, but my friend really needs me to watch his daughter for a couple hours. I hope you don't mind." I said. "You can just relax in bed and we'll be in the kitchen." I promised.

As I cleaned up a bit, there was a knock on the door. There was Becca, Coles wife, holding their almost year old baby. "Thanks so much." She said again. I nodded and took her and her bag. I brought her to the carpet and sat down, giving her some paper and crayons to play with.
