We all sat at the table and after eating a few bites, the mayor put down his fork. "Look, we've been talking, and I want to hold a press conference. Tell the truth about you, and explaining the circumstances surrounding your mom. We know there will be consequences, but we just don't feel it's right to pretend you don't exist." He finished. I only had to think about it for a second. "I don't know.... I'm ok with not existing." I said. I really just didn't want all the stuff about my mom going in the press.
