Rowan had a lunch event this afternoon, and I agreed to go as her date. Apparently, it was some kind of silent auction and all the money went to different charities, including the one Ro worked with. But just as I was leaving work, Beth called and needed help ASAP tracking someone. I stopped at her place for 20 minutes to do that and then came to the lunch a little late. "Hey. Sorry I'm late." I said, kissing Rowan's cheek before sitting down.

"That's great." I said. A minute later, the mayor came up. "Rowan, Lucas... How are you two?" He asked. It was kind of awkward because the public still didn't really know that he had a son, me. "We're good. Iris is happy as ever." I said.

"They're doing great." He said. He looked between us for a moment. "How about you guys come over for dinner tonight?" He suggested. I looked up at Rowan and nodded. "I think that works."

I said goodbye to the mayor and sat with Iris for a while. We were fine for a while, but eventually she started fussing. When Rowan came back I was bouncing her to calm her down. "Do you think I should bring her home for a nap?" I asked.

I shrugged. There was a spa day which would have been nice but that's okay." I said. "There were a few other nice things but as long as they bring in a good profit I'm happy." I said.
