This morning had need stressful to say the least. Mason went back to work for this first time last night- an overnight. I don't think I slept a minute, the babies were a week old and I swear one of them was always up and needing something. To add stress, Masons parents were coming. I had a whole list of things to do; clean, get the guest room ready, shower, get groceries... I did none of them. I was worried because I knew they kept a strict house. Mason was picking them up right now. Derek was crying, so I was bouncing him and trying to get him to eat his bottle. Holland, probably upset by all the noise, started crying too. I sighed.

Mason
"We're back!" I called out coming into the house. I was instantly hit by the screams and cries of both babies. I chuckled. "They have big voices." i said to my parents. My mom lit up. "I'll go help." She said happily hurrying into the other room. "Come on, I'll get you settled into the guest room." I told my dad, taking some of the bags and carrying them into the other bedroom.
Mom
I smiled at the crying babies. "Oh come here you poor thing." I said scooping up the little baby girl. I held her close and gently rocked and bounced her in my arms until she quieted. "Grandma's here."

She came in and a minute later I got Derek to take his bottle. Instantly he quieted. "Thanks." I said, looking down at Holland. "Wow you're really good with her. Sorry nothing is ready for you guys." I said, letting out a stressed laugh.

"Yeah. It's been crazy." I said. I could tell that Holland would want to eat soon, since Derek just did. "Let's go downstairs. I'll make Holland a bottle." I said. We both went down and I found Mason and his dad on the couch. "Hi, I'm so glad you guys could make it." I said to his dad as I handed Mason Derek. I went into the kitchen to get a bottle.

I gently tapped Derek's back to burp him. "How was the flight mom?" I asked. "I could have flown it better." She said. I chuckled. "I bet you could have."

I chuckled softly and came back with the bottle. I gave it to Mason's mom to feed Holland. "How was your first shift back?" I asked Mason.

"It was good. It seemed so long. I just wanted to be home with the babies." I chuckled.

"Well we definetly missed you." I joked with a chuckle, trying to hide my yawn. "How's South Carolina?" I asked his parents. Thinking, I got back up. "Do you guys want coffee or anything?"

"Oh no, honey. Down worry you just relax." My mom said. "I smiled. "Yeah, dad and I will make dinner tonight." I said.

I took a deep breath and sat down. "Thank you. You need to rest too." I said to Mason. I was worried about him, working and not sleeping.

I squeezed her shoulder gently. "I'm fine. don't worry about me. Sit back and relax for a little while dinner is being made. I promise we won't burn anything." I said smiling at her.

"Well I'm still teaching at the air force base but on weekends we've started to pick up sailing. I never understood what Derek saw in the water, but I'm starting too." I told her.

"That sounds fun. Once the twins are a little bit over, we'll have to come down for a visit." I said. "I'm sure they want to see where their daddy grew up." I smiled and kissed Hollands head.
