I didn't say anything, but my feelings didn't change. I crawled onto the bed and went under the covers. "I just want to be alone." I said softly. I heard the door open and heard Iris a minute later. Ro's dad must have come up with her. I ignored it and closed my eyes.

I leaned over and gently kissed his cheek before going out into the other room. I took Iris from my dad and laid her down in her crib in the other room. Then I sat down at the table with my dad and explained everything that had happened.

I stayed in my room alone for the rest of the night, but didn't sleep a bit. Finally, I knew I'd have a lot to do today so I slowly walked to the kitchen and made myself a cup of coffee. I wasn't even sure if Rowan was home, to be honest.

I carried Iris out from her nursery after changing her and found Lucas at the table. "What do you want for breakfast?" I asked softly, knowing he hadn't eaten in a long time. I set Iris in her highchair and poured myself a cup of coffee.

"Lucas you have to eat something. I'm making eggs and toast." I said pointedly. "I'll take Iris to one of my friends today and then I can help you with anything you need." I said.
