"I dont blame you Lucas. I knew you had to go." I said. "I was mad for a little while after I found out I was pregnant but I think I was more made at myself." I said softly.

I nodded. "I understand that. I was angry at myself for letting it happen. But I'm not anymore. Iris is the most amazing thing that could happen to me and she might not have come at a convienient time, but that doesn't matter."

I nodded in agreement. "When the nurse first put her in my arms I was speechless. She was an angel." I said softly. "Then I got her home and I haven't slept a full night since." I joked. but it was true.

My heart dropped a bit. I thought maybe she was still interested in me, but she said fell. Past tense. I guess I should be happy for her that she was moving on, but it was hard. Slowly I took my hands off. "How about you go to bed. Ill crash on the couch and take care of Iris tonight."

I fell asleep on the couch until around 2 in the morning when I heard cries. I started by changing her diaper, but she was still crying. There were no bottles left, so I quietly went to Rowan's room. "I'm sorry. She's hungry." I said softly.

I opened my eyes sleepily and sat up, reaching for her. I took Iris and moved my shirt. "There we go. You're okay now." I whispered to her, gently rubbing her back.

I watched Iris for a moment then looked back to Rowan. "You know, being the mother to my child has made you even more beautiful." I said, looking into her eyes.
