"Wild Salmon and vegetables with truffle oil." He said. The plate was set in front of me and I looked around the table. The mom and two older sisters seemed uncomfortable but willing to try. But the youngest daughter, Lucy I think, was biting her lip hard. I watched her sniffle and wipe a tear from her eye quickly. It must have been a hard couple days for her and all of them. I took a deep breath. "Thank you for doing all this for me, really. But this isn't who I am." I said, getting up. "I grew up the kid without a dad, and it doesn't have to change now. Your family was happy, so just forget this ever happened. I won't tell anyone." I said softly.

"Just forget this happened." I said again softly. His family didn't cause any of this and they didn't deserve to be dragged into this. I quickly left and went outside, leaving my coat.

I bit my lip and looked up at John who clearly didn't know what to do. "I'll go talk to him." I said softly. I got up, taking his coat with me. "Lucas, what are you doing?" I asked.
