Campbell I just laid there, unable to sleep, until a nurse came in and told me I had to go home. I was shocked; I thought I'd be here for a night, at least. But she explained that I could recover at home and would be more comfortable there. I tried to tell her I didn't feel well enough to go home, but they could see through the lie and saw my vitals were good. Ten minutes later, she pushed me into the hallway. Clearly unhappy, I crossed my arms and waited for Mason.

Mason "Are you ready?" I asked. I took over the wheelchair from the nurse and brought her outside. "I'm sorry but all I have is the cruiser. You can lay down in the back or sit up front. What ever you think will be easier." I said apologetically.

Campbell "I'll just sit in the front." I said, sitting down. Now that I was out, I just wanted to be home in my own clothes instead of the hospital's itchy, thin hand out clothes. I looked out the window, wondering if we were going to go past the street where I was hit.

Mason I drove home and helped Campbell inside and to the bed. "Do you need anything right now? What can I get you?" I asked.

Campbell "Did anyone die? In the accident?" I asked softly, looking down.

Mason I shook my head. "No. You were the most seriously injured. I said honestly. Which is amazing, because I got sent pictures of the scene and I wouldn't have guessed that everyone lived, but they did.

Campbell "Oh." I said softly. I walked over to the window, slightly grimacing with pain, and opened the curtians. Unfortunately, all I could see was the corner of the street, and it looked normal. I sat back down again.

Mason "Here let me help you change into something more comfortable." I suggested.

Campbell "It's fine. I can do it myself." I said quietly. I slowly walked over to the dresser and got myself a tshirt and shorts.

Mason I sighed. "Just get some rest." I mumbled. I set the pamphlets that the doctor had given me on the side table next to the bed and went out into the other room to do some work.

Campbell I saw him put the pamphlets on the side table and huffed. I grabned them and then opened my drawer to find my positive pregnancy test. I was going to give it to Mason but it was pointless now. I threw both of them away. My eyes filled with tears and I started to cry again.

Mason I worked on sorting through all the statements and piecing together the evidence.

Campbell I basically just cried for a couple hours because I couldn't fall asleep. I felt terrible. Finally I walked out to go get a cup of coffee. I bit my lip as I slowly went down the stairs. while I was pouring a cup of coffee, I spilled Half the cup on the floor. Frusturated, my eyes filled with tears. But I couldn't cry. I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself.

Mason I came into the other room and found Campbell with coffee all over the floor. "Oh Campbell... I'll get it." I said quickly and went to clean it up.

Campbell "No, I can do it myself." I said. I took a towel and bent on my knees to clean it. My eyes watered and my tears splashed on the tile.
