Harley
I had the day off so I sat in the back yard with the kids, enjoying the nice weather. Carson was at his new job as a little league baseball coach. Evelyn crawled around in the grass in front of me while Ayla, Brynn, Beckett, and Landon ran around us, playing with squirt guns. I smiled while I watched them happily role around in the grass. Beckett had grass in his hair and grass stains all over his shorts, but that's what they made bathtubs and stain removal for. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt something cold hit me in the back. I squealed and spun around to see Ayla with a squirt gun still aimed at me. I scooped her up and spun her around before setting her back down. I laughed. "You got me." I said in fake defeat before sitting back down with Evelyn who was crawling around with our super sweet and gentle Newfoundland dog, Bear.
ooc: I don't even know how i remembered all that. I just started typing and it sort of just happened..

Ooc haha well one of us remembers something so that's good!  and yes I vaguely remember all of that now  Carson As I pulled into the driveway, water squirted my windshield. With a chuckle, I saw all the kids aiming squirt guns at me. I left my stuff in the car and got out, now getting hit by water everywhere. "Ahh, that feels good." I teased them. But it did, on this hot August day. They just giggled and ran over to play again. I smiled lightly and went to sit by Harley. "How was your day?" I asked, kissing her cheek. |

I gestured to the kids. "It was pretty much this all day." I said. "They are going to be good and tired tonight." I said with a light laugh. I leaned over and gave him a light kiss. "How was work? Do you like it?" I asked, curios about his day.

"Yeah! It was a lot of fun." I said enthusiastically. "A couple crazy parents, but I can deal with that." I said. Evelyn crawled over here and I put her in my arms.

I smiled. "That's good. I'm glad you're happy." I said honestly. I looked at the time and realized it was about supper time. I pushed myself out and called to the kids. "Come on guys. It's time to go in and eat." They all looked up and moaned about not wanting to come in yet. "Unless your dad wants to stay out here and play with you while I go make dinner?" I shrugged, looking down at Carson.

"Why not." I said with a smile. "As long as I get a squirt gun." I joked. Instead I brought Evelyn to the play set and pushed her on the swing.

I nodded happily and went inside to started dinner. About 45 minutes later, I set the table and set out all the food. I stepped back outside to call everyone in. "Okay now it's really time to come in and eat." I called out. The kids came running back to the door. "No food without clean hands. Go wash up." I told them. I looked at Carson as he came in after them. "You too." I teased.

Ooc I made a post Carson I laughed and cleaned up, then sat next to Harley. "So who's ready to start school?" I joked. The kids moaned and I laughed. |

"Still a few more weeks but we should go school shopping." I said as i leaned over the table to cut the kids' chicken. "Maybe we can make a trip tomorrow." I said with a slight shrug.

"That would be fun." I said. "We could bring Bynn and Ayla, and Beckett, Landon, and Evie could go play with their cousins." I suggested. Brynn and Ayla were the only two old enough for school.

I looked at Beckett and Landon. "You two can go to your cousins too if you want to. It's up to you." I said. I also knew that if they came along they would probably want everything that even slightly resembled a toy.

"How about we get you each a special present?" I suggested. They were sad they couldn't get school supplies, but grinned at that. "I'll let your sisters pick something out for you." I promised.

I nodded, glad for the compromise. "Now eat your vegetables or no dessert. Come on Beckett, you usually love carrots." I said.

I smiled and turned back to Harley. "So are you going to go back to work?" I said. She had taken a break of her physical therapy job ever sense Evelyn was born, but I thought she should go back to it.

"Actually I was thinking about that.." I said as I looked up from my food. "One of the schools nearby is looking for a new science teacher... I thought maybe I would go back to teaching. Then I would only be gone the hours that the kids were gone." I said with a shrug.
