I got your E-mail. Um...Lets put him on Champ." Mr.Conner said. "Okay. He should be here soon. And I'll give him a short lesson...how to walk and trot." I said. Mr.Conner nodded and I shut the door, locking myself in the isle again. I waited for Marco. |

"hey!" I said as Marco walked over. "Soo, I just talked to Mr.Conner and he said you get to ride Champ. Lets go get him." I said, quickly licking my sparkly-strawberry-flavored-lip-glossed-lips. I grabbed Champs leather halter, blue lead rope and opened the chestnut's stall. I handed the halted and lead rope to Marco.

I smiled. "See this circle?" I asked pointing to the nose band. "It goes around his nose, and then this part-" I pointed to the buckle and strap-"Is what attaches behind his ears." I said. "So sip the top of the circle over his nose, and flip the strap behind his ears, and buckle it." I said, resting my hand on the Quarter Horse's neck.

"Perfect. Put one hand here-" I grabbed his hand-moving it up to where the latch was under Champ's chin. "-And here" I let go and made loops in the lead rope-I gave it to Marco. "Now click-like this-" I clicked my tongue "and walk forward, follow me." I said leading him to a cross tie.

When he stopped next to me I hooked champ up in the cross ties and handed him a soft brush and hard brush, "You can brush him with this and when he's clean call me." I said and left to get Banner.

I was now alone with this horse that I barely knew. i coutiously started to brush him.

I grabbed Banner, and smiled at him putting him in the cross ties next to Marco's. I brushed him out quicky (only touch ups-I had brushed him earlier.) and did his hooves quickly before tacking up in record time. Leaving off his bridle, I went to go check on Marco.

I smiled and grabbed a hoof pick. "Okay, so you see where the ripples are on his fore leg, squeeze that, and when he goves you his hoof, grab it with your left hand, and pick out all the dirt with your right." I instructed.
