I trusted Banner and let go of his reins, I dragged over a mounting block. "So to get on, you gather the reins, and put your hand on his neck-" I did it as I said it- "And the other hand on the pommel of the saddle, and put your left foot in the stirrup." I said, letting him do it himself.

I felt relieved that the stirrup were perfect. "Hold your hands up, your thumb closing the rein on top of your hand, and your pinky on the outside, closing the bottom, so the rein goes across the heel of your hand." I said. "Next, point your toes up, and your heels down. Then squeeze lightly and click your tongue like before to tell him to go, pull back to stop, pull the right rein to turn right, and left rein to turn left, got it?" I asked.

I smiled and left him to mount Banner. I turned him to the middle of the arena. "Okay, remember what I told you, go ahead down the arena, and along the side." I called.
