That in itself was pretty exciting- we didnt go out much anymore because we had the twins. But the most exciting part is that Mason's old unit was getting some kind of award. I liked to see him get recognized; he worked so hard and risked his life for the Marines and really deserved it. Plus he got to see some of his old buddies which was fun. Just as I finished getting ready, the doorbell rang. "That's the babysitter." I said. I opened the door for her and showed her the instructions on the kitchen table. "Ready to go?" I asked Mason. I went into the nursery to say goodbye to the kids. |

I came out of the bedroom dressed in old uniform. i took a deep breath. "It's been a while since I've worn these." I said stepping out.

"And you look great." I said with a smile. "Now you two be good." I said jokingly to the twins. "Bye- bye!" Derek said. He was quite the talker- well, he could say like 5 words. Holland still hadn't said her first word, but I wasn't worried. "That's right- bye bye." I gave him a kiss and then his sister.

"Of course! They're important to you, so I want to meet them." I said. We arrived at the venue, so I got out and took Mason's hand. "This is pretty." I commented. The high ceilinged venue was decorated with nice tables, linens, and flowers.

"Let's." I said. We walked to the front of the room and found a table with our names on it. Seconds after I sat down we were served a drink. "Wow, I can't believe this is all for you. I didn't know I married such a big shot." I teased.
