"I don't-" a warning came on the phone that I only had a few minutes left. "I better go soon." I sighed. "Can I call you again sometime?"

"I love you too, Connor. Please be safe and call the house if there's any change." I begged. He did have a home phone at the house, but he didn't think it was safe so he didn't use it.

I went back to the house afterwards and decided since there wasn't much to do, I'd clean. In just a couple days, I managed to get the entire garage organized, and then started on the basement. I found a lot of pictures, so I guess it was kind of fun to look through old pictures. But everyday Id fill with more dread as he didn't call. This morning, I woke up to the phone ringing. I scrambled to get it, but it ended up being just a telemarketer. Frusturated, I went out onto the porch to sit. Poppy, the name I gave the stray cat, came up and I gave her a gentle scratch.

It had been a few days and as I walked into the lab today, Cisco looked up at me. "I found him." He said. I swallowed nervously and nodded. "Where?" I asked. I listened closely as I got my gear together and got ready for a fight. When he finished explaining we came up with a plan to catch Dr. Greene. I was going to surprise him at his lab tonight when he was alone. When the time came I slipped into the suit and turned on my ear piece so I could hear Cisco and Caitlin. "Let's go get this guy once and for all." I said. I found the building easily and was able to sneak inside. When I found the doctor, I knew I had to be quick so I took off at top speeds running toward him. Before I could get to him I was hit with something hard and fell back. It felt like running into a brick wall. The doctor turned to me and laughed. "I had a feeling that would come in handy one day." He said and thats when I noticed the slight difference around him. He had invented a mini force field. He stepped forward and the forcefield dropped. "I've been searching for you Flash, and now that you're here I can finally begin my experiments." He reached for me but I quickly dodged his grasp. He chuckled. "You are fast. I love it." He said as he picked up a strange looking gun. "You're crazy." I said, again trying to run to him but he shot at me. I was able to dodge the ray that came out of the gun but he kept firing and I couldn't get close enough. Then the ray hit me and I fell to the ground. IT was like being struck by lightening all over again. The doctor laughed. "Like my invention? I made it just for you." He said. He walked over to me with hand cuffs and I tried to get away but I couldn't move. He grabbed me and through me onto a table and latched me down to it. "Let's see what makes you so fast now." he said. I struggled against the cuffs but couldn't get out. Then he came at me with a knife. "The heart and the brain is all I need." He said smiling at me. "You're psychotic" I snapped but he kept coming with the knife He ripped through the suit and then started to incision near my heart. I screamed and put all my force into getting out. I moved my hands so fast that I was finally able to pause out of the cuffs. As quick as I was out I reached for him to get him to stop. Wheat I didn't realize was that my hands were still phasing and went right through him. I watched as his eyes widened and then went dull and he fell to the ground. I sat there stunned as I looked from the body to hands, now covered in blood as I processed what happened. "Connor? Are you okay?" I heard Caitlin's voice in my ear and panicked. I slowly got up then just ran. I kept running as fast and as far as I could. "Connor Where are you going? Connor!" I could hear Caitlin and Cisco yelling until I was finally so far away that the line turned to static then went dead. It was then that I realized where I was going and I just kept running. I didn't stop until I was standing in the Vermont house looking at Sage. "I killed him..." I whispered, before falling forward into her and passing out.

I jumped up when he appeared. "Connor?!" I cried, running over to him. I shook him but he wouldn't wake up. I noticed blood all over his hands and several cuts. I pulled off his mask so he could breath better. Then, with all my strength, I pulled him up the stairs onto the porch and into the couch. It would probably give him a couple bruises, but he couldn't be out in the open like that. Quickly, I left him to get him some water and the phone, dialing the lab. "He's here. He passed out and has blood all over him." I said in a panic when Cisco answered. Not sure what to do, I put some of the cold water on his face. Maybe that would wake him up.

I took a deep breath. "Ok. See you soon." I said softly. I decided to clean him up, first wiping off his hands which were covered in blood. Then, I took off his suit. Near the cut, I couldn't help but notice some kind of burn on his chest. It was like he was electrocuted. I put him in a t shirt and a pair of his shorts here, then put a pillow under his head. Hopefully he would be in less pain. Gently, I dabbed a cool rag on his forehead.

I woke up with a jolt, jumping up. That's when I saw Sage staring at me. "Sage?" I whispered, slowly laying back down.
