"Ok, thanks." I gave her a kiss and then laid back down. All of sudden, I felt a horrible pain shoot down my leg. I had been getting twinges of pain in the last couple weeks, but I didn't want to tell Rowan about it. She would think I'm crazy because there's no leg to feel pain and send me to where my mom used to live. I clenched my teeth and gripped the sheet next to me, willing it to go away.
