I slowly knocked on her door and opened it slowly. I looked down when I realized she was in a towel. "Sorry. I just wanted to say thanks for today." I said quietly.

I nodded and thought for a while. I wasn't used to talking about things- but I wanted her to trust me. "Is it bad that I'm a little relieved? I mean, I loved my mom and I would never wish for this to happen. But paying for her to live there was really hard on me, and I was always worried about her being healthy and happy. It's weird not to feel that."
