I helped him up and once he was steady, we slowly walked to the door. I drove home slowly then tucked Josh in bed. He basically fell right asleep because of pain meds.

I thanked harley then fell onto my own bed, exhausted and upset at myself for not realizing that there was something more serious going on with Josh.

I walked into the bedroom and sat next to Sara, rubbing her back. "Don't feel bad about all this. Parents never recognize the symptoms of appendicitis until their kids complain so much that they have to go to the doctor."
