I woke up at the crack of dawn, ready for my big day. Today I had a big surgery to perform and people from all around the US and world were coming to watch. It was nerve wracking to say the least, but I had been practicing a lot and perform well under pressure. After laying there for a moment, I decided I should let go. Gently, I moved my arms from around Sara and went to brush my teeth. I looked back at her from the bathroom. I was still worried that she was getting overworked, too burnt out from always taking care of the kids. But thankfully after today I had the whole weekend off.

I rolled over and realized that Ollie wasn't there. I quietly got up and walked to the bathroom where I put my arms around Ollie from the back. "Good morning." I whispered. "Are you ready for today?" I asked.

I smiled. "Yeah. I don't have to leave until around 8, but I wanted to get up and awake." I kissed her cheek. "Will you pick out my clothes?" I asked as I started to shave.

"Sure." I started to pick out a short but Mia started to cry from the other room. "I'll get her." I said going into the other room to take care of her.

I decided to go downstairs and make breakfast for everyone. I popped some cinnamon roles in the oven then smiled as josh sleepily came down. I Ruffles his hair. "Hey buddy. Ready for school?" He nodded and sat down to watch cartoons.

I came down with Mia, cleaned and refreshed and sat her in her high chair. Damian was still asleep and I didn't want to wake him up. "Smells good." I said, walking over to see what Ollie was making.

I walked over to Josh, on the couch. "Hey, where's all your stuff?" I asked him. "You told your dad you were ready for school." He looked up at me and I instantly knew the look. I could tell he was trying to hide it but it was evident to me. "Alright, back to bed. I'll be up in a few minutes to check on you." I said. It was clear he was sick.

"No. I can handle it. You have other things to do." I said. I went into the bathroom and found the thermometer then went upstairs. Josh had a slight fever but nothing that made me want to nervous. I tucked him in then went downstairs. "It's probably just a 24 hour bug." I said. "You have a surgery to get to." I said, walking over to him and fixing the collar of his shirt.

"I know. It's okay." i assured him. I gave him a kiss and handed him his lunch that I had put together the night before. "I love you. Good luck." I said.

I smiled. "Thanks. I love you too." I said. I headed to work for the day. Thankfully, the surgery went just the way I wanted to and the kid was going to have a full recovery. A lot of people came to watch and were impressed; I hadn't told Sara, but I was getting a lot of job offers from other hospitals. But she didn't need to stress over that. I would stuff it in the back of my nightstand drawer like I did with all my other letters. When I got home, the little kids were just getting put to bed. I went upstairs and found Sara changing their clothes and started to help. "Hows Josh?" I whispered.

"He's okay. He's just running a fever and has bad stomach pain." I said. "I can't get him to drink anything. I think he's afraid he won't keep it down." I said then remembered. "Hey, how did the surgery go?" I asked.

"It went really well, couldn't ask for anything better." I said. After laying Damian down, I went to our room. I stuffed the letter in the nightstand, changed, then went to check on Josh. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. After talking to him for a minute and gently pressing on his stomach, I left to talk to Sara. She just finished putting the kids to bed, so I brought her to the hallway. "We need to bring him into the hospital. He has appendicitis." I said, positive.
