I nodded. "I should probably shower, but I need to take off the bandage first." I said. "Do you think you could help?"

I nodded, gently pulling off his shirt and taking off the bandage. I threw it away. "When you're done with your shower I'll put it back on." I promised.

"Thank you." I said. I kissed her cheek and got into the shower. I got out a few minutes later and had Campbell help me put a new bandage on then finished getting dressed.

I shrugged. "Whatever you want. There's this new movie about a cop I thought you'd like." I said. We arrived at the theater and I bought our tickets, then helped him in a seat near the back.

I didn't respond because the lights were dimming and the move was starting it. I was able to sit through the first 15 minutes, but then I just got bored. Action movies just weren't really my thing. Halfway through, I got a text and quietly checked my phone. It was from one of his buddies at the station, saying I should try to get Mason there if I could; they had a surprise for him. I looked back to Mason, who was staring intently at the screen. Leaning over, I kissed his cheek. "Let's go." I whispered, kissing his ear lightly.

"It wasn't that great. We both knew he was going to kill the bad guy in the end and get with the girl; it was so predictable." I said. We got back in the car and instead of driving home, I drove to the station. I helped a confused Mason out and we walked inside. There, the guys had made a "Get Well Soon" banner and greeted him with slaps on the back and food. I smiled to myself.

I smiled softly.. "It wasn't as much for you as it was for us. We wanted the excuse to get cake and ice cream." One of them said. They all laughed and started talking. I just sat down next to a couple of the wives and listened to them chatter.
