Outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=180811391Sage Today, I was meeting my dad and Connor for lunch. I was a little nervous, but not because I thought my dad wouldn't like Connor. I just wanted him to pay attention to him, seem interested. I arrived at the small, chic cafe around noon, for the most part ignoring the annoying paparazzi. The waitress led me to a table overlooking central park. The view was beautiful, with all the changing trees and fallen leaves. My dad was already there, so I gave him a hug before sitting down. "Connor will be here in about 10 minutes, that's when he gets his lunch break." I explained. We spent the extra time chatting and catching up. |

When I got on my lunch brake I rushed to the restaurant to meet Sage. I made sure my shirt was tucked in and my tie was straight before going into the restaurant. I found Sage in the back and walked over. "Hello sir, my name is Connor." I said holding out my hand to him.

I bit back a smile. He was so cute when he was nervous and flustered. My dad stood up and shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you. I'm John Holloway." He said, sitting down. The waitress came and I got an iced tea while my dad got a beer. "So what do you do, Connor?" He asked.

"Well right now I'm working as an IT and tech guy on the show that Sage used to star in." I told him.

He nodded and took drink. "Do you have student loans or debt?" I gave him a confused look, wondering why he would ask that. "Or do you just want the fame?" He asked. I almost chocked on my iced tea. "No, no, no. Connor isn't dating me because he wants money or something. We just met on the show and hit it off." I explained. I guess it was hard for him to grasp the concept of me dating anyone besides a celebrity.

I shook my head. "No. I have nothing to gain from dating Sage, other than the fact that she makes me happy. I don't believe in using people to get something." i said.

My dad gave him a slightly suspicious look, but softened and nodded. I almost sighed with relief and held Connor's hand from under the table. "Where are you from originally?" He asked.

He nodded. "I went hunting in Vermont once. It's beautiful." He said. I was glad he was being so nice. Now he turned to me. "Have you hired a new manager yet?" He asked. I shook my head and he frowned. "I'm sorry, I just don't know who to hire."

I nodded. "I'm going to ask a few coworkers from the show tomorrow for references. We have a press thing going on." I explained. He nodded. "And you've been getting all your work sorted out in the meantime?" I nodded this time and smiled happily as the food came.

He asked me a few more things about my career, but I got kind of sick of it, so I changed the subject. "Connor's helping me finish my high school degree. He's really smart." I said. My dad seemed impressed. "That would be good. The press will like that." He said. It was kind of annoying thats all he cared about, but at least he approved.
