I walked Bug into the indoor about twenty minutes before my tryout. I had my simple maroon cooler over his haunches and a simple pair of tan breeches with a yellow polo and a maroon jacket. My hair was tight under a hair net under my Samshield. Boots and tack polished, Bug's mane braided neatly. His shaved coat was gleaming. Despite the ascetics I was shaking like a leaf. After walking a few minutes and pushing the reminder that I haven't shown in a year out of my mind I pulled off the cooler and began to warm up with some simple lateral work.

Mr. Connor I walked into the arena checking my clipboard. This was supposed to be Berkley from Wyoming. "Hello, Im assuming you're Berkley?" I asked her.

I pulled Bug to a smooth halt as Mr. Conner walked in. "Yes, hello, I am Berkley," I said with a polite smile.

Berkley
I swallowed, I had competed in dressage as a kid but hadn't in years. Despite clinics and my own work I had little experience since I road on the hunter jumper circuit. I decided it would be best to start with that and end with our strong suit so I put on a confident face and replied, "Dressage please."

Mr. Conner "Alright Ms. Schieferson." I said. I gave her the first set of instructions and letters and waited for her to salute and begin.

OOC I haven't done dressage in years... This will be vague haha
Berkley
I guided Bug to X and pulled him to a calm halt, I saluted and began. We turned left at the "judge" and proceeded to make one sixty meeter circle then one thirty. I then proceeded to to a half pass then halt in the corner and do a turn on the haunches that I felt Bug shift a little out of the pivot. I stiffened then proceeded to do a canter transition that Bug kicked out a little though. Regathering myself in the corner we did two near perfect flying changes. I then did a downward transition to the walk which Bug tossed his head lightly. We returned to X halted calmly and I saluted.

ooc- No prob I haven't ever done dressage. Ive only gone to a few shows xD So no worries.
Mr.Conner I made notes on my clipboard. She got a little tense at the pivot but did a good job of regathering herself after the kick and handled her horse nicely. Making a few more final notes about the ability I smiled and looked up. "Well done! I will have some jumps set up and then we will be ready. You can take a short break if you need it." I told her.

I nodded, "Thank you." I proceeded to let Bug walk on a long rein and I rubbed his neck to release the pent up stress from the both of us. After the jumps were set I regathered my reins and picked up a canter, following the course Mr. Conner had given I took the stonewall easily. Collecting Bug's long stride we continued to the one stride. The oxer to vertical was very tight for Bug's long stride but we hopped out nicely. Taking advantage of the long approach to the liver pool I urged Bug to open his stride so we could clear the wide jump. Bug had a thing for water jumps so we took it smoothly and I smiled as his knees snapped and back cracked. "Whoa," I said as we approached our weakness:Tall airy verticals. We took it a little tight but cleared it nicely. We turned tight to a line with did a roll back which I had the option of a longer safer turn or slice inside another jump and do a turn only ponies could typically do. I took the tight one since Bug 's strength was in the turns thanks to his small stature and we cleared the oxer only being a tad bit long. We then proceeded to the last jump, a simple brush but Bug got excited and let out a hard buck showing his green side. I was used to this and recovered but we still got a long distance which Bug rubbed the top rail lightly. Thank goodness it stayed up but there was a very slight shake in it. I pulled Bug out and took a breath as I patted his neck.

Berkley
I nodded, "Yes he is only seven and he has only had about six months of formal training before I bought him. We took a bit of a break from training and the show ring but I am fully committed to being back and working to catch up to the other riders who have been showing consistently," I assured Mr. Conner.
