Dressed in fawn breeches, a tucked in white polo shirt under a (also tucked in) lilac sweater, I warmed Elton up, my parlanti-clad calves easily maintaining their spot on his side. He loosely trotted forward for me, glancing around but not being too spooky. My hands were still above his neck, elbows opening and closing to keep my hands from bouncing. I sat, asking Elton to canter, which he rocked into. We did a few circles within the laps, before changing leads and continuing on the left lead. After he warmed up, I slowed him to a walk, petting him as I waited for Mr. Conner.
