Kate I cantered rapture in a half seat, spurring him onward. if I didn't wear spurs, he'd kick out and buck. I pointed him to a 3' vertical, clearing it easily. we cantered up to a 3'3 line, rapture not even putting up effort. I walked him a second, patting him with a gloved hand. my vision was a little blurry from no food but oh well. I picked the canter up, aiming at a 3'6 vertical before turning to a 4' wall. the height ended there. I dismounted, building a few jumps up to 5'. we cleared them all easily. rapture was on.

I walked Bug into the indoor arena as a girl worked her stunning horse over a course of tall jumps. I swung onto bug's back and pulled the wool cooler over his haunches and my legs to block out the bitter chill.

I glanced at a girl. sigh. I'd be done in just a second. after remounting, I cantered away from the jump, before turning and rolling back to it. rapture cleared it with inches to spare, which was surprising considering I'd boxed him into a deep distance. "Good boy." I praised, patting him.

I smiled politely at the girl with a nod and began bending Bug around my leg to loosen him up.

I nodded too, short and curt. rapture danced around and I hopped off again to grab his cooler, throwing it around his hindquarters before I remounted from the fence. tall horse probs.

I sighed realizing she really didn't want to be social. As I pulled off my cooler to work she was tossing hers on and Bug decided that would be a good idea to freak out. He bolted forward then slammed his front legs into the ground and let out one of his famous wicked bucks. I gripped and yanked his head up and held him back as one of my stirrups came loose. Embarrassment flooded though my face.

I raised an eyebrow, watching. that was a wicked buck, but she seemed alright. kudos to her for not flying off. most people would judge the girl for riding a bucker, but I wasn't. they were the most fun.

I didn't mind Bug's buck, that athleticism made him the jumper he was. Plus who didn't love a little challenge? That was the fun part. "Sorry bout that," I said with a nod to the girl.

"no problem. just don't lose control." and get in my way, I added silently.
