I walked into the cafeteria, and the moment I stepped inside, I already felt like I was out of my league. Glancing around the large room, everybody seemed to be sitting with their own groups, and it wasn't just one or two girls or guys, but it was large groups. A sigh escaped me now, "Why do I feel like I'm in Mean Girls?" I muttered to myself as I walked down the stairs and headed over towards the lunch line, only settling for mac & cheese along with an apple and a glass of water. Holding onto my tray, I glanced around the room now, trying to scan out tables that I could potentially sit at, but of course, the idea of actually attempting to socialize became an all new fear itself. Instead of trying to be human and talk, I did the next best thing. Keeping my head down low, I headed over towards the back and slid into an empty booth. Concentrating on my food, I didn't make eye contact with anybody as I speared my fork into the cheesey noodles and began eating.

I was too busy concentrating on my food to even notice that somebody was walking up to me now, "Mind if I sit?" Her voice startled me, and I quickly glanced up now to see a pretty blond girl standing over me now. Some how, I managed to swollow my food, "Um...no?" Wait, was I really asking a question? Think Tru, be confindent, "I mean, no, I don't mind at all," I said now, getting up slightly clear room for her to sit down.

She smiled at me before sitting down. I watched as she gracefully slid into the booth before introducting herself, "Thanks. I'm Bella," the blond girl informed me now. I just stared at her, starstruck almost as if she were Miley Cyrus or something. Not that I cared for Miley Cyrus, "Um, I'm Tru," I managed to get out now, "New...if you couldn't tell."

I simply stared at the girl from across the table now. Studying her almost as if she were friend or foe. At my words, she simply shrugged, "We are all new once...wait until you get lost," she informed me now. A frown crossed my lips, a thought that I did not really wish to think about, "Admissions gave me a map though. It can't be that easy to get lost."

"Lukcy!" she exclaimed now, "I had to find my way around." I cracked a small smile at her words and I just shrugged the tiniest bit, "Maybe they learned their lesson from all the new kids getting lost so easily," I offered now as I took another bite from my food.

"Probably," she answered me now before taking a bite out of her burito. I just stared at her now before glancing back down at my food again, "Right..." I replied now, spearing more of the noodles, but I didn't bring them to my mouth. I was trying to so hard to find a conversation starter, but of course, they never cam easily. Talking and socializing wasn't my strong suit, "Um...how long have you been here?"
