I worked hard in the gym. I ran up and down the bleachers set up for a basketball game for at least 15 minutes. I redid my ponytail and pulled it tight, high up on my head. Out of breath, I walked over to a mirror to cool down for a minute. I eyed myself in the mirror and compared my body to all the olympic gymnasts. I had to slim down even more if I wanted to be as great as them I decided. After only eating an energy bar here or there I had already lost 13 pounds but it just wasn't enough. I looked at my stomach and sighed. It was time to get back to work. I walked the full length of the gym on my hands. My arms shook by the end which didn't normally happen. I then worked on my back tuck. I did a round off into a back handspring and wobbled slightly. As I landed the back flip my legs came out from under me and I landed on my butt. I slammed my fists on the ground and got back up. I decided to just do a standing back tuck to make sure I could perfect it. My stomach growled but I ignored it and jumped up and back. When I was about halfway through the rotation I realized I didn't have enough height to land it and fell to my back again. I sighed angrily and went to get up. As I tried to stand I fell back down. This was not a good day.

Carson I just got let out of the infirmary. Even though I still had to go everyday and get meds and stuff, but I was glad to be out of there after last night. I wore a hoodie, jeans, and baseball hat to cover my messy hair. Harley told me to find her, so I had been walking around campus for the last half hour. Leaning on the door frame, I watched her a little bit before saying anything.

Harley I sat on the ground for a few minutes longer before slapping the gym floor and pushing myself up. I shook and almost fell over again but I leaned up against the gym wall before that could happen again. I took a deep breath and walked back to the center of the gym. I did a simple cartwheel. and felt week. I sighed but knew it would pay off when I had lost enough weight.

Carson Watching her shake concerned me. I took some steps into the gym. "Hey." I said, getting closer to her. "Are you alright?"

Harley My stomach growled slightly and I tried to speak over it. "Yeah fine, just having a bad practice." I said, slightly shaky but more angry at failing.

Carson I heard her stomach growl. "Well you've worked hard enough. Come on, let's go get something for lunch."

Harley I sighed. "I can't." I pushed myself up and did a front handspring. I landed on my feet then slid back, just like every other time I tried something. I looked over at Carson and tried to ignore the fact that I was on my butt and felt to week to get up. "How's your shoulder?" I asked.

Carson "Fine." I said quickly. It was a little sore, but the sling, pain meds, and ice made it feel better. "Are you sure youre ok? You seem really tired." I said, worried.

Carson I sat down on the floor next to her. "No, you're not." I said, looking into her eyes. "Tell me what's wrong."

Carson She wasnt going to say anything. It hurt my feelings just a little that she didn't trust me enough to tell me. "Ok. Whatever. You don't have to tell me." I stood up, but didn't leave because I was concerned. As long as I was in the gym, I might as well get a little workout in. I found a baseball and threw it at a mat with my left arm. It was weaker than the right but at least it wasn't in a sling. I ignored the tiny bit of pain and threw it harder, trying to forget about Harley.

Harley I sat on the ground for a few minutes before slowly getting up and walking over to Carson. I walked up beside him and looked at the ground. "I haven't eaten in about a week." I said barely above a whisper. I bit my lip and stared at my feet.
