"She's a really lucky horse then. She gets all of your attention all the time. I feel bad sometimes about not giving both of my horses enough attention. I turned around and patted Stella on the neck. "I can remember when I never thought I'd own my own horse. My parents are both terrified of horses and as you can see, horses are my life. They barely would lat me take riding lessons, let alone buy a horse. And I just kept saving but it was never enough. I felt so defeated. But eventually my work paid off and now I'm blessed with two angels. Well, maybe Jazzy isn't quite an angel yet!"

I smiled. "That's such a nice story.... My family, we never had much money. I always felt like I got nothing that I wanted. But if I really wanted it, I could work had and do anything."

"Yeah, my family isn't too well off either... I pay for just about everything my horses need and it was probably illegal but I think I worked like every second when I wasn't at school, before I came to CCA. Chloe, who's dad owns a barn, often gave me free lessons and helped me out a lot. I'm also on a partial scholarship to be here..." Wow I babble too much, I've got to work on that...

I breathed a sigh of relief. "Honestly, I felt like I was the only one. Not that being on a scholarship is a bad thing, it means you're supersmart. But still, everyone here seems super rich and stuff which is kind of intimidating."

I smiled, still fiddling with Stella's mane. "The only thing that is the same for me, no matter where I am or how much money I have, is that horses make me feel my best. And no one could ever change that."
