I walked up to Stella's stall and gave her a hug. She brusied her hoof on the cross country course, and was probably in pain. I wanted her to get better quick, so we could ride soon. Our chances for a spot on the advanced team were down the toilet by now. I let my self into Stellas stall and just hugged her neck. I barely noticed someone come up to me.

I was on my way to Jazz's stall when I saw a girl looking really upset hugging her horse. I didn't want to bother her but I'm nosy "Hey, are you alright?" I asked softly.

"Yeah." I sighed. "I was jumping my horse, and she went lame. Its just a bruised hoof, but I cant ride her for a while."

"Omigod, I'm so sorry. That happened to my mare, Cowgirl, once. We were at a show and she tripped and fell and landed on me. I had a broken wrist and she bruised her hoof. The hardest thing was that I had permission to ride , but I couldn't. That show was also a qualifier for Nationals and I was out for the season. But, I knew I had to put her health first and now we're back to normal again." I reached out and patted the horses nose. "What's her, or his, name?"
