I opened up my tack trunk and took out all my dingy spurs, dirty polo wraps and two saddle pads that I'd had since I was 4. I set them on a neat pile on top of the lid just after taking out a clean rag and tack soap. I took three of my spurs and started wiping them down with the cloth, getting off dirt and any grime that had been on there. They were finally shiny after a few minutes and I slipped them into my grooming tote. Pandora and Aidan watched me from inside their stalls. I smiled at them, and for a moment forgot that Antares was gone. "Antares!" i called looking down the aisle. I felt a pang of sadness and frustration. The sadness that I's never see him again, and frustration at myself that I'd actually make up some stupid fantasy that he was actually here. I shook the thoughts out of my head and turned back to my cleaning.
