Mason England
I opened the door to the truck and walked around the the front. First we would unpack and THEN unload King, (Donkey Kong) I new he would be sleeping but just to make sure I jogged around to the side of the trailer. I climbed up onto the weal and peaked inside the top to see. King's eyes were closed and his head was down. I smiled and then jumped down startled when I heard him snore. Yep, he was asleep. And snoring. My dad got my bags and boxes and we headed for my dorm he trailer and truck were locked and even though King was almost 17 hands high, he was sleeping with his head down so no one could see him. The walk was quiet and me nor my dad said anything. My mom wasn't here. I didn't know why, she didn't feel like it. I turned the key to my new dorm and smiled that my room mate Trent wasn't here. I didn't particularly want him to meet my dad. "So, this is your new place." My dad said. he was tearing up, "Yep, and I'm not even 16," I laughed, as we unpacked we talked and laughed. But soon we were done and heading to the stable. We laughed all the way and when we got to the truck I heard King snore again. Some kids looked but no one talked. I opened the door and my dad helped my lay it on the ground so I could go in and get King. "Hey! King time to wake up sleepy head!" I called. King craned his neck to me and I smiled, "That's it, here we go," I cooed as he was led backwards down the ramp. I stood so that while my dad could close the ramp and King could get used to his new seroundings. I walked King forward and Dad grabbed his stuff. While my dad put the tack away I led King to his new stall. He settled and my dad came up to me. "I guess this is good bye." He said. "I love you." He hugged me. "You too Dad," I hugged him back and then he left. I looked down at the name plate on his stall door, It read "DONKEY KONG" King's show name.
