I walked into the Outdoor Arena with Marked. He was, as usual, beng an angel for me. He was wearing his regular trail saddle and bridle. I led him to the middle and swung nice and easy into the big, comfy, Western saddle. Then I started to jog him around the arena. He was only warming up, and was eager to get started! I just smiled and let him get his energy out. After about a half hour, I dismounted and set up the poles. When they were ready I mounted Marked again and got ready. 1....2....3....GO! I thought and Marked shot off. His slender, but stocky, body weaved through the different poles, not coming close to knocking them over. As we finished I realized I didn't have my stopwatch going. That really bummed me out because I was 99% sure that it was one of my best times.

I led Cipango into the arena. His goat was gleaming and so was all his tack. He looked like the national champion hunter horse he was. I mounted him and started walking. i saw another girl and smiled at her.

I gave the other girl a slight nod and this time I had my stopwatch set. I didn't wait until I got to 3, I just told Marked to go. And go fast. He shot off and even faster this time he darted through the poles. When we finished I clicked off the time and checked it. 18.052 seconds. "Yes!" I said aloud, rubbing Marked's neck. He did really well this time. Next show, we'll so get the blue!

I smiled at the girl again. I asked Cipango for a collected trot. he collected underneath me perfectly and showed off his talent.

I glanced at the girl then focused on Marked. I jumped off him and he pranced around with excitement. He had a pure need for speed. I took down the poles and set up the barrels. These were what we were best at. I cued Marked and he went towards the first one. We were running the left-handed pattern so we could both get more flexible. As he rounded towards the last one, he bolted back, knowing this could make us or break us. Just like the excellent speed events horse he is, he brought me across the 'finish line' at 14.786 seconds. I slid off his back and hugged him. I knew we could get to the AQHA Congress with these times.

The barrels spooked Cipango a little bit. he threw his head up and reared, but I collected him easily and he went forward perfectly again.

I noticed her horse rear but I didn't care. Guess who was here first? Me, not her I thought bitterly, but it didn't show through my smile. I tied Marked to the side then got Doc. I put up the barrels and got the keyhole pattern set up. This was the event Doc shined in. I hopped on him when it was all set and he set off. Doc knew the pattern by heart since this was both of our passions. He spinned in the center of the 'keyhole' and shot back. I didn't bother timing this run because I knew it would be amazing anyways, since Doc always is

The galloping horse spooked Cipango again. he took off full speed. I slowly brought him back to earth. After he calmed down, he went forward slowly again at a perfect collected trot. He was such a weird horse. He was pretty much physcho and spooked alot, but in thw show ring he was ALWAYS perfect.

I looked away from the girl and rolled my eyes. Doc wasn't even going that fast I thought. Gosh, did this horse have no training? There's something called desencitizing, and apparently this girl hasn't heard of it. Doc pranced under me, eager to go again. I held him back and let him cool off.

I knew the girl was thinking about me, for she was staring at me. I asked Cipango for a canter, and he easily picked it up.

OOC: She wasn't looking at her Layla
In my mind, I laughed at how she was trying to show off. I slid off of Doc and loosened the cinch. He was sweaty but still wanted more. For his health, I let him rest instead of working him to much.

I tied Doc to the side. He was in a knot where if he spooked or tried to break free, he could move without getting hurt. Thank-you Clinton Anderson!
