Working Melody

I walked Melody to the outdoor arena and heads turned as we walked by. I blushed, not used to all this attention. I mean, I know, not many people are used to seeing an 18 hh Clysdale walking around CCA, but still. I knew people would be watching when I rode. And for that, I was nervous. I walked her up to near the fence post. I may be tall but even the biggest mounting blocks never work. I hopped onto the fence and swung my leg over Melody's side. I fixed my stirrups, checked my girth, and off we went!

I smiled at a girl who was riding a Clydesdale. Aidan was also huge, only a little shorter than him. It was obvious that we were the only ones with horses this big. "I'm Aly!"

[Mandy Claire Köhler]

I walked into the arena with Shotgun. He used to be the tallest horse at CCA, but then the newbies came and messed it up. Some were matching his 18hh body, and it annoyed me. I mounted with a swfit jump up, not even phasing Shotgun. "Braver junge." I praised him, patting his neck. I stuck my feet in the stirrups and started to work him around the arena.

I smiled "Hi, I'm Shauna! And this is Sing Me a Melody" I patted Melody's neck

"This is Aidan."

"What breed is he? Melody's obviously a Clysdale"

I smiled. "We don't actually know."
