I pushed Petri into a walk to G. When we got there, I squeezed him into a trot. We trotted at a good trot until A.

I nodded slightly, tapping Petri with my heel to make him canter. He bounded forward a bit, and I pulled him back. I rocked to his smooth canter to D, slowing him to a trot at it. I posted to his nice trot, until we got to F.

I made a few quick notes. "Ok very good" i smiled. "Now Circle around to the Left at the canter and continiue to G" i said

I nodded again, not smiling. I was too focused for that. I used my left leg to bend Petri around, and my right leg to drive him forward, making sure his canter wasn't too slow. We made an good circle, and continued to G, always keeping my leg on

I let my focus out for a bit, but stayed semi-focused. I gave Petri some rein, but kept my leg on, and went to the middle, smiling at the way my testing was so far.

I let my smile get bigger, and I gave Petri more rein. "I would like to do Cross Country next." I said. Why not? I didn't want him to be too tired when we did it.

I made sure my vest was all snapped on. I smiled. "Ready." I said to myself. We started at a collected canter to the brush jump. I made sure Petri came close to the jump, not far away. After a few more jumps with a few mistakes, we got to the creek. I slowed him to a fast trot and posted quickly. We went through the creek, and cantered up the hill to the final jump-the gate. We sailed over it, witha small chip. I patted him-most of the mistakes had been me. "Good boy."
