I walked Danny Boy into the indoor and mounted. I moved him to the rail and started to warm up. I was nervus but i couldnt show it, knowing that Danny would feed off of me. I did a few circles and cerpintines, waiting for Mr. Connor to come in and start our tryout.

Mr Conner "That's good. I take it that you are warmed up, so would you like to start with cross country, jumping or dressage?"

I nodded and sat deep into the saddle before pushing Danny into the canter. I circled once before pointing him at the first jump. It was a 3 foot vertical. We cleared it easily and continued onto the next jump, an oxer. Danny pricked his ears up at the the jump. He rushed towards the jump a little bit but i did a half halt and he relaxed. We cleared it. We continued on throughout the rest of the course clearing everything. Finally the wall loomed in front of us. Danny hesitated a bit but then jumped. It was a bit weird but it was still good. " Awesome job boy!" I said patting his neck as i brought him back down to a walk. Other than the falter before the wall and a little bit of rushing the ride was excellent.

i figgured we would do dressage next considering it was what we were the worst at so i might as well get it over with. "I would like to do dressage next." I said a bit nervusly.

I nodded and shortened my reins, pushed down my heels, and sank into the saddle. I walked to the center of the arena and saluted Mr. Conner. I did a sitting trot to the wall then turned right and picked up a canter. I cantered a circle then came down to a free walk. I did a free walk to C then stopped and backed four crisp steps. After doing a 20 meter circle at the trot we finished off the pattern with a pirouette and I did a canter back to the center of the arena. I halted at X and saluted Mr. Conner. Danny was really good and other than getting a little quick and coming out of frame a couple of times he was perfect. I guessed that Danny knew that this ride was important and he was behaving.

I nodded "Okay thank you." I waited moment and took a deep breath. Then i asked Danny for the canter and we were off. He shot foreward towards the first jump, a simple cross rail with hay bales. He shot over it and hand galloped to the next jump, a medium sized log. After flying over it, we moved to a small creek. Danny splashed into it and then galloped up an incline and out into a field. We came up to a stone wall and cleared it, it. Next was a ditch. Danny hesitated a bit but I urged him over it, and he cleared it. As we headed up the 'homestreach' of the coarse with only a few jumps left, I was nervus. Danny was doing amazing! I smiled as we soared over a a corner jump. A rickety wooden gate was next witch Danny jumped easily. All that was left was a table, and wall. Danny slowed a bit coming to the wall i pushed him through and he just cleared it. I let him out a little more knowing he loved jumping tables. He launched off of his back feet and soared over the jump then continued to gallop forward. I slowed him down to the trot then the walk and Pat his sweaty neck. "Good boy! You were amazing!" I whisspered to him as a walked back to Mr. Conner.
