I walked Rosie into the arena all tacked up first. I mounted and warmed him up. "Good boy." I cooed to my chestnut Thoroughbred and Dutch warmblood mix . Mr.Conner walked in and I trotted Rosie over to her. "Good Morning. Fist we will do dressage, then jumping, and cross country. I see you are warmed up?" he asked. "Yes Sir." I said. "This is, Rosie? Or Poisoned Roses, correct?" he looked at his clip board. "Yes Sir," I nodded. "Ah. Good" he paused. I nodded. " Lets get started" Mr.Conner said. "If you are warmed up please start the test." she said backing away. I walked Rosie through letter A at a working trot. When I approach X,I transition to a walk and then halted at X. I lowered one hand and nodded my head in salute, then proceed in a medium walk. When I reached C, I tracked right and continued until I reached M, then picked up the trot. I did so until I reached B, then made a 20-meter circle to the right before continuing down the long side of the arena. Continuing trotting until I passed B, then transitioned to the walk before F. I continued walking around the arena until I reached K. At K, I allowed Rosie to stretch her head, neck and topline into a free walk, across the diagonal through X and then to M. Before M I picked up my reins and transitioned back to a medium walk.I tracked left around the arena. When I reached C, I picked up the trot. Continuing trotting until I reached E, where I made a 20-meter circle to the left before continuing down the long side. When I reached A, I turned up the center line. I transition to the walk right before X, then halted at X and saluted. Next was jumping.
We walked into the next arena where a level 3 course was set up. "Start when ready." Mr.Conner called.
We started off the course were two sets were set up right next to each other, normal rails-easy jump. I turned left and then a sharp left-Rosie half bucked at the sharp turn- and then over jump #2, an oxer. Pass were you start and around a jump to the rail. Then was a another simple stacked rails. Pass a triple and there was a double. Jumped. First an oxer then rails. Pass a jump go on the rail for jump five-oxer. Go on the rail 13 strides and and then jump six. Rails. Turn left go in between the triple, and double, go in the middle of the double for the wall. Go around jump five and turn right for jump eight- oxer. Go around the ending of the double (#4) and into the triple. A and B were rails. Then C was an oxer. Go around three for a triple oxer and then keep going. Then jump the jump that was conected to jump #1 And finally an oxer to the finish line. Finished easy.
I got Rosie ready and headed to the cross country course. We started of to the cross country course at a nice slow canter. We jumped a lower fence and were headed onto a pretty big log pile. We fastened the canter a little bit to jump the log pile. Yes. I turned left onto a bench. Over. And now a tree. Over. I turned right to jump a flower bed with a wood rail. Over with ease. I patted Rosie's neck as we came to the next jump. An arrow head. Over. we came to a BIG mud puddle. Rosie hesitated but still plunged into the knee deep mud. After that was over we jumped a couple wooden barrels. And then a hay stack. I turned Rosie right and we jumped a brush. Then brush box, and we were done.
I put Rosie away and smiled to her, giving her an apple "Good girl." I told Rosie, and stayed in her stall for a while.
