  I felt like I should work on jumping today. It had been a while since I had taken Thor over some real jumps. It's not like some logs out on the trails really counted as practice. I walked down the asiles of the stalls until I came across his stall, "Hey Buddy," I muttered as I slid the stall door open and he greeted me with a whinny. Quickly, I grabbed him and got him into the cross ties to tack him up quickly before heading out to the indoor arena. Lucky enough, somebody had left up some small cross rails to go over. Clearly just warm up jumps but that was good enough for me since I couldn't remember the last time Thor went over a real jump. Sticking my foot in the stirrup, I got up and started to move him around the arena.I nudged him in the side and he started to walk. After we looped around the ring a few times, I sent him off into a trot. He tossed his head a little, but I tugged at his reins slightly, making sure that he knew I was here before I sent him towards the first oxford. His ears were forward as we trotted towards the oxford. Quickly, I got into two point and counted in my head and then squeezed. The moment he was half way over the tiny jump, I gave him the reins. I saw an approaching rider now and quickly slowed Thor back down to a walk, curious as to who was coming.

I swung up into the saddle and gathered up my reins before clucking to her to walk on. I was so focused on wavy that I didn't notice the other rider at the other end of the arena. Deciding to be friendly, I trotted Over to him and smiled. " hi. I'm aqua."

I saw a blond girl coming over now, and Thor's ears flickered slightly at the oncoming company. Tugging gently on his reins, I asked him to come to a complete stop while the girl came over on her horse now. She offered a friendly smiled and introduced herself as Aqua. Interesting name. Either way, I flashed a smile, "Blake, sorry if I was disturbing your practice at the other end of the arena."

At her words, I couldn't help but to let a laugh escape me, "Thanks. We were just warming up to jumps again though. We haven't done stadium jumping in a while," I replied now.

I just nodded when she said that she had just come back. I didn't ask her why she left though, everybody had their reasons for transferring to and out of here, "Well, I'm sure your friends are glad to have you back," I replied with a smile now, "And this is my first year here. I transferred over from Wellington Prep."

My eyebrows rose a little at that but I didn't question him. Wellington was pretty much our rival school. " What made you want to come to Canterwood?"

I could tell that she was surprised by my transfer. A lot of people were considering that Canterwood was the big rival, in any sports, not just the riding program. Even the academic programs were against each other as well. I just smiled slightly, "It's been my family's...thing, to go there. I just wanted to do something different," and probably stick to my namesake as well. But Aqua didn't have to know that.

" Ah. " My attention was yanked back to Wavy who was pulling on the bit, getting impatient. " Well I better get practicing, it was nice to meet you. " I said politly giving Blake a small smile then riding off.

I glanced at her horse now, who let out a snort and threw its head. Clearly, the animal was getting impaitent with just standing around, I knew Thor was. Even though he wasn't doing anything, I felt like I could just feel it in my bones. Aqua said her good byes quickly before turning her horse around and headed, "Uh..." I said, startled by her abrupt leave, "Nice to meet you too!" I called back to her now before I decided that I should probably start getting back to jumping as well.
