I rode Knight down the easy trail after a quick training session of dressage. I walked him on a loose rein, my feet out of the stirrups of my deep dressage saddle.

I was on magic, at an easy going sitting trot. My bad ankle was acting up so I decided to have an easy day. Magic, slightly confused as to why were weren't prepping to show, trotted easily under me

I heard some leaves rustle behind me, so I gently stopped Knight. I worried there was a deer behind us- Knight's most recent fear

I kept trotting and nearly ran into a girl who was stopped dead

I horse quickly approached right behind Knight. He shied a few feet and threw his head, which is way better than his deer reaction. I quickly moved him forward and said "Sorry, I thought I heard a deer and my horse is terrified of them"

Magic reared up t the sight of the other horse. When he came down, he was back to his usual calm self.
