A couple weeks ago I was at Connors house with his family, and now I'm back in New York. His dad had just passed away, and I had come back after the funeral. He had to stay for a couple more weeks so he coulee figure out some stuff before coming back with Alice. I was really worried about him; we had only talked once since I came back. Meanwhile, I had been busy with other things. Once I got back, I found a good apartment in the city. It was in a nice building, with 2 bedrooms, an office, and a big open living room. Plus the view was gorgeous. It wasn't huge, but perfect for us. Also, it was right next to a nice school for Alice. I had sent Connor the address, but I didn't know when he planned on coming. Trying to get my mind off of everything, I went back to unpacking.

It had been a long couple of weeks and I was physically and emotionally exhausted. I knew Alice was too and now we were both going to a completely new place. We got to Sage's place a little after 5:00 and slowly climbed the stairs. I didn't have a key yet so when we got to the apartment door, I stopped and knocked. "I know this is going to be a big change for you, just try to keep an open mind." i said to Alice as we waited.

I quickly opened the door to find Alice and Connor. I smiled lightly. "Hey, welcome." I said, gently taking a bag. "How was your ride?" I asked, keeping conversation light.

"Not to bad." i said. "Long." Alice said softly. I sighed. "Sage can you show Alice to her room so she can get some rest?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course." I led her up the Spiral staircase and down a hallway to her room. It was large, and I basically decorated it according to her Pinterest board. "Do you like it?" I asked her. She just nodded and put her bags down. I gave her a light hug. "Let me know if you need anything, ok?" I said. I let her unpack her stuff and went back down the stairs.

I fell onto the couch and opened my laptop, going through countless emails of I'm sorries.

I found Connor on the couch and went behind him, leaning down and wrapping my arms around him. I kissed his cheek. "Do you need help with anything?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course." I quick went to the kitchen and made him a sandwich with some chips and a pop. I sat back down next to him. "How are you?" I asked softly.

I watched him for a minute. "I unpacked most of your stuff from the apartment." I said. I had hired some moving guys to do if. "Do you want me to put the rest away?"

"You're doing great." I promised softly. He finished his food so I brought the plate to the kitchen. "You look exhausted. How about I bring you to the bedroom?" I asked.
