Bouncing Back (Ollie and Sara)

Ollie
I let out a cry of pain as she moved me, but then bit my lip hard because I didn't want to wake up the kids. I don't really remember most of it or even seeing Seth, but somehow I made it to the car. I closed my eyes and wrapped the blanket still around me tightly.

[Tori]

Sara
I bit my lip. "I'm going as fast as I can." I promised, heading for the hospital. "Why is this happening?" I asked.

[chargergirlz]

Ollie
"I don't know.... My MS meds must not be working." I said softly. After what felt like forever, we made it to the hospital. After a few minutes I got put in a room. It didn't take much begging to get pain meds. The put an IV in my arm and a few minutes later I felt out of it but so much better.

[Tori]

Sara
I sat waiting and worrying and texting Seth apologizing for waking him and inevitably his wife up to make sure the kids were okay.

Ollie
I laid there for a couple hours, doctors and nurses filing in and out to check up on me and do routine tests. Finally, a couple doctors came in to move me. "We're going to do an MRI to see what's going on in your brain." One of them said. I drowned. "I don't need an MRI... I have MS. I know what my brain will look like." I insisted. The doctor nodded. "But it could help us see what kind of medication would help." They responded. I nodded in agreement and gave Sara's hand a squeeze.

[Tori]

Sara
I bit my lip and squeezed his hand back. "I'll be waiting right here." I promised.

[chargergirlz]

Ollie
They brought me into the room and it only took a couple minutes for them to finish taking the pictures. They brought me back to the room and I looked at Sara. "Sorry about all this." I said, feeling bad for getting her up.

[Tori]

Sara
"I know." I said. I sighed softly.

[chargergirlz]

Ollie
I closed my eyes until I heard the door open. It was the two doctors with my scans. "Well, we got your scans results and they're explaining why your meds aren't working." The first one said. He handed me the results. "You don't have MS." He said. I just stared at the pictures. "You have a brain tumor. And a big one. It's affecting areas like MS would. I'm so sorry-" He said. I cut him off. "It's ok. It made sense, and I thought the same thing." I said. I started to smile. "This is great! I can remove it and go back to my life like normal." I said. The doctor shook his head. I knew no one here would feel comfortable doing it. But I'd find someone.

[Tori]

Sara
I just stared. How was he acting so calm about this? This was bad and I didn't know how to react. "Ollie...." I paused as tears filled my eyes and I didn't know how to react. "Excuse me.." I mumbled and quickly went out the door.

[chargergirlz]

Ollie
"Sara." I wanted to explain but she left. I started to get up but the doctors told me to rest. I sighed and waited for her to come back.

[Tori]

Sara
I called Seth, waking him up again, and cried until he told me to go back and talk to ollie. I wiped my tears as best I could then went back into the room. I looked at Ollie and silently sat down.

Ollie
"Sara look." I took her hand. "I know this is scary, but it's good. I can get the tumor removed, and then everything will go back to normal. No symptoms at all. I'll have so much more time with you guys than if I hand MS."

[Tori]

Sara
"Ollie I know you're a doctor but its not that simple." I said.

[chargergirlz]

Ollie
"It really is. Sure, there's a risk, but I'm going to find a great doctor we can trust to do it." I said, already thinking of people.
