We made the cookies and while Connor was putting them in the oven, his phone rang. Since he was busy I answered it for him to help. Before I even said something, a girl answered. "Connor. I need you asap." She said quickly. "Who is this?" I asked, confused. She hesitated for a long moment. "I'm ummm Dr. Kaitlyn Snow. From work." She said. I paused and looked up to Connor. "It's someone from work." I said, handing it to him.

I answered and Kaitlyn started talking again. I bit my lip and looked at Sage. "It can't be handled by someone else?" I asked. Another spew of words came after that and I sighed. "Ill be right there." I said and hung up. I looked at Sage. "I'm so sorry." I whispered.

"I know. You better go." I said softly. Once he left, I sat on the couch and bit my lip. Worries started to fill my mind. We he cheating on me? I can't believe I never thought of it before. He came home with his clothes all rumpled and messy. Now a girl called him and struggled to answer when I asked who she was. She was obviously lying. And why would she call about work at this time. I just sat there and worried until the oven beeped, then I ate cookies and worried.

I ran into the chaos that Caitlin had called about. Things were a mess. I heard a scream and ran towards it. In front of me was a mother bleeding and a baby being clutched in her arms. I was able to stop the guy attacking the women and ran him to the police. By that point the women was barely breathing. I rushed her to the hospital and the doctors took her from me and rushed her in. But now I had a baby. I didn't know what to do, but then again I guess I did. I held the baby close and ran. I ran back to the house, into the house and stopped in a corner of the house that was dark and shaded. I stood looking at Sage from the corner and then the baby started to scream.

I was watching a movie until I heard a noise. A blurb of red went past me and I started to hear a baby cry. I jumped up, confused. "What are you doing here?" I asked the shadow in the corner. I should be scared because he broke into my house, but he also saved my life today and for some strange reason I trusted him.

"Sage don't be scared." I stepped out of the shadow and slowly pulled the mask off of my face and stood there staring at her.

My heart stopped when he stepped out of the shadow. "Connor? What-" I was speechless. A million emotions went through me but I forgot about them and turned to the baby. "Why do you have a baby?" I took a blanket and wrapped the screaming baby in my arms. Sitting down, I gently rocked her. She started to warm up and calm down.

"I saved her mom but she's in the hospital. I didn't know what else to do." I said honestly.

"Bring her back to the hospital to be with her mother and doctors. She will be worried to death about her daughter." I said, putting her back in Connors arms. I had so many questions but now wasn't the right time.

I nodded. I pulled the mask back over my head and took off. A few moments later I came back, now dressed in normal clothes. I bit my lip, not sure what to say to Sage.

I didn't know what to say to him. "Is the baby ok?" I asked, avoiding the confrontation.

"The only way you hurt me was by lying!" I yelled, tears welling up in my eyes. "Why if you got hurt and died. How would I know?"
